life is beautiful ...

my experiences as I strive to be in the now, or simply, just be. my battles and struggles. my victories and celebrations. life is indeed beautiful - simply by virtue of being life. so in celebration of being alive, my random musings, as life unfolds.

karmic cleansing at work..?:)

I came across an interesting piece, which I think I would like to capture here on kayinaat, mostly to ponder.

And I quote..
"Often sickness, poverty, strife, matrimonial disharmony, sibling rivalry, not getting one's due at work or home or in life, very often, is a part of the karmic cleansing process.
Do your best and leave the rest to your Master and accept your lot with grace. This is best for us. Don't get negative or bitter or depressed or defeatist.
Keep chanting your Master's name and keep calm and know that this lifetime is really like a blink of an eye and eternity and infinity of bliss awaits those who live with a state of graceful acceptance.
We are all One, have come from The Oneness Family and we will return back to The Source. We belong to the same family. We are family. Be blessed."
Unquote.

I tend to agree with the essence of most aspects. I find myself increasingly believing in karma that our souls gather in the many lives we live. There is so much that is unknown, and I find myself opening to the acceptance of new knowledge that I may not have believed or consciously considered previously.

The key for me is to do my absolute best; and with that having been done, accept things, people, situations and circumstances for what they are.

I am reminded of another quote.. courtesy Timber Hawkeye, author of the 'Buddhist Boot Camp'.
Quote..
"We try so hard to control everything in our lives, attempting to make it "problem-free," but happiness and being at peace have nothing to do with getting rid of difficulties, but in responding peacefully to whatever comes our way. "You can't calm the storm, so stop trying. What you CAN do is calm yourself, the storm will pass!"

Simple and profound. And so true. Only catch is to put it into practice! :)

What I do need to continue to learn and practice is to not try too hard, and know when to stop trying. Hence, the lesson for me here is unwavering faith and graceful acceptance.

And if it indeed is karmic cleansing at work, why not just sit back and enjoy the process. :)
