Taare Zameen Par is not just an extremely sensitive and wonderful movie, it is an incredible work of art.

I'm sure there is a small Ishaan in many of us. An Ishaan who does not have to be repeatedly told how unacceptable he is. An Ishaan who needs to be held and encouraged when he stumbles upon a roadblock.

The movie touched my soul and moved me. I loved it the first time I watched it. Interestingly, I found it touching an even deeper chord the second time I watched it. I started to relate with it on some levels. It re-emphasized the fact that some of us need and seek a little extra or special attention as kids or adolescents, and how important it is at that stage for the wiser souls to take note and act, to reassure the growing child that s/he is wonderful as s/he is so that the child's confidence is never affected adversely and the child moves beyond the stumbling block, and blossoms.

It was a truly worthwhile experience to watch this movie. The fact that this subject was picked up and brought forward to the masses in this package is worth appreciation. A brilliant job by all actors - I must make a special mention of Darsheel who amazes me with his quality to show spunk and vulnerability with equal elan.
